Day 5 - Homemade Apple Sauce

Day 5:
Homemade Apple Sauce that's super easy

Sorry for the look of the picture, I forgot to take a picture while it was in the crockpot and looking a little better. It really is good though!!!!

Ingredients:
  • 10 apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water or apple juice (I used water)
Instructions
  1. Cut the apples into cubes, peel them if you desired.
  2. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours until apples stir into applesauce.
  4. Let it cool down and put it in jars
I'm going to try a batch adding strawberries or raspberries to it,(taking the cinnamon out) I'm sure that will be good too!!!

The hubby requested this, the only fruit thing he will eat, Mr. Picky won't even eat an apple only homemade apple sauce. Not sure why, IDK its gotta be a guy thing lol. He approved it and wants more made.

This one I made last night, let it cool down overnight and put it in jars this morning, its one of those projects that you don't have to sit over the entire time and watch it. You can completely forget about it (literally I did)
