Day 3 Basic Cookie Dough

Day 3:

        Basic Cookie Dough with a Twist

Ingredients:

               * 7 tbsp. butter
               * 1 egg
               * 2/3 cups granulated sugar
               * 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
               * 1 1/4 cup flour

            * OPTIONAL - 2 1/2 oz chocolate chips, raisins, butterscotch chips, or whatever you want to put in the cookies

         This batch I split it into 3 parts and added food colouring. My kids like them without any extras, they like the sugar cookie taste

        Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 sheets with parchment paper
2. In a large bowl beat butter and eggs
3. Mix in the sugar and vanilla
4. Add the flour, it will form a soft dough
5. Add the chocolate chips or whatever you want to make them your own
6. Roll the dough into balls and place on the cookie sheets
7. Flatten the balls slightly and cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown
8. Let them cool and enjoy

The kids were the taste testers this morning on the way to the school bus, (one of them ran back to grab some more cookies for them to eat while they waited for the bus (the bus stop is 3 doors down from the house lol) AND to top it off the next door neighbor came over after the bus picked the kids up, to get the recipe. My daughter shared some of the cookies with her daughter and her daughter loved them, so mommy needed the recipe

Another great recipe hit!!!
